About me
I’m Omar, an Egyptian robotics engineer based in Freiburg. I specialize in embedded systems and software development — from robotics and autonomous systems to simulation and software design. When I’m not doing that, I’m probably working on a game.
I am also a swimmer..
Having retired from competitve swimming when I was 17, 10 years later I had the idea of competing in Germany. Turns out it was a great idea!
Across different races I am currently ranked (as of April 2026):
- Top 8 on Baden-Württemberg state – Masters Class 25.
- Top 40 swimmers on Baden region – Open Class.
- Top 80 on Baden-Württemberg state – Open Class.
..and a Youtuber!
I created content for over 13,000 subsrcibers, gathering over 1 million views across my videos! With over 12 years of experience creating content, I have experience in video and image editing, art design, SEO and I’ve fine tuned my public speaking skills 😉 You can check out my channel here.
